Multiple Monitors, High Resolutions

Post by titule »

Hi,

I'm using windows 10 with two monitors with resolutions 3840*2160 and 1920*1080.

I can't play Capitalism because I can't see it, it's too small.

When I play in full screen mode, it always goes to the large monitor to the upper left side and crashes.

How can I select the monitor it uses for full screen?

You should add higher resolutions, more and more people have larger monitors.

You may try the following solutions:

SOLUTION 1:
1) Right-click on the Capitalism Lab icon to open the properties window.
2) Select the “Compatibilities” tab and check the Windows XP Compatibility option.
3) Enable the option "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings."
4) Enable the option "Run this program as an administrator."
5) Enable the option “Run in 640x480 screen resolution”
6) Run the game.

Once in the main menu of the game, you can then select any resolution that is available (either full screen or windowed) as the game is actually not limited by the 640x480 setting.

SOLUTION 2:
On the Capitalism Lab launcher, you will see the option “Force running in 1024x768 full screen mode.” (below the [Login] button). Please select that option before clicking on the [Login] button and see if it will run the game successfully.

Thanks for your help.

First I tried this deviation of SOLUTION 1
  • Compatibility Windows XP, SP 3
  • High DPI settings enabled and set to let the Application do the scaling
  • “Run in 640x480 screen resolution” enabled
  • Optimize fullscreen disabled
  • Run as administrator disabled
Then I reduced it to only change the High DPI setting to Application and let all the other option on standard and that works too.
Anyway I will set the compatibility to Winows XP SP3 to minimize the risk of crashes later when playing.

(Solution 2 does not work: The display is only on the left upper side and it crashes.)
