There should be a way to let cash flow back to the parent company on a regular basis. Dividends alone are not sufficient and usually has a big impact on cash levels. I usually split up my company in different product classes to let the AI manage the lategame. But I only receive parts of the profit in the end of the year. It should be possible to set a percentage of the earnings each month to go to the parent company.

There's 2 workaround.

First method only works if own less than 50% of your parent company and the subsidiary is a publicly traded company. Second method will always work, but can be used as an exploit.

1. Simply make your subsidiary repurchase your shares. This works especially well if you own 100% of the shares since you'll still own 100% of the shares no matter how much shares you repurchase.

2. Use your subsidiary to create another subsidiary. Inject all the cash you want to take back to your parent company into this new subsidiary, then immediately merge with it.

You should now have the cash back in your parent company.

I normally use my parant company provide common semi products, like steel, plastic,electric components, glass…… and force all subsidiaries by it from the group warehouse. Then I can easily control where the cash finally flow to……
