According to the Capitalism II manual: The size of a firm affects 1) its setup and monthly operating cost, 2) its capacity – the quantity of products that it can stock, 3) its productivity – the rate it produces products, and 4) the number of employees each firm unit employs.

Hope that helps!

Chad,

Are there specific numbers of this for Retail, Factory, and Farms?

I'm sure this isn't too hard to find out by starting a game and seeing what the actual output is to measure the results. I read that the Factories is 2x, 2x from Small to Medium and Medium to Large in terms of production which is similar to the aforementioned monthly cost. Only variables here are land and setup cost.
