I have just purchased and downloaded Capitalism II. I played this game so many years ago and fell in love with it. However today is many years later, and I am completely lost as to what to do. I will read the manual, but can anyone give me some basic guide?

First, welcome to the forum, love to see more new players join our community.
And if you like Cap2, you should also try Cap Lab, it's much more fun with lots of new features. Also if you have technical issue or want some strategy tips, we can discuss them in the Cap lab boards. Lots more players visit that section. The latest beta-version also has new tutorials to explain a lot of the very basics.
