Imo there is no need to complicate game with such things, altho taxing player and other characters can be used as income for cities/nation, every character can have set home city and any income they recive to be taxed acording to city income tax setting and added to the city income.

This is not complicating the game too much it would just be small details that work in the background to make it more realistic.avengerbg wrote: ↑Mon Jan 20, 2020 2:12 am Imo there is no need to complicate game with such things, altho taxing player and other characters can be used as income for cities/nation, every character can have set home city and any income they recive to be taxed acording to city income tax setting and added to the city income.
It is unrealistic for a individual to not have some sort of cost of living otherwise you just pile up a bunch of cash that all you can do with is buy mansions and more investments. It could simply be the player and AI characters in the game have a fixed minimum cost of living of somewhere between $100,000-$1,000,000/Year or a formula based on income.
It is also unrealistic for a individual to not have some sort of employment to pay their bills if they are not working as an executive. This could simply be that each player and AI characters are randomly assigned one of the skilled professions listed above that they start doing or fall back on when they aren't working as an executive to pay their bills.

Inflation already take some of your money away constantly, the more money you have, the more you loose to inflation.... i personaly would like to see improvments to AI, more products and services like banking and inssurance. which will probably take same amount of time as implimenting those. Fixed Cost of living and income tax can be ok, but for the rest with sailaries and such is unnesesery complication in my opinion. And in case your CEO/COO etc gets sailary in range of 100+ milions, even cost of living wont make any difference.

I just like to throw out ideas with different levels of complexity to see what others think and maybe put them on the list for future implementation possibly in different phases starting with the simplest.avengerbg wrote: ↑Fri Feb 14, 2020 10:27 pm Inflation already take some of your money away constantly, the more money you have, the more you loose to inflation.... i personaly would like to see improvments to AI, more products and services like banking and inssurance. which will probably take same amount of time as implimenting those. Agree with you on improved AI, and more products and services those should definitely be prioritized. You should see some of my other posts: Real Estate DLC, Service Industry DLC, etc.

The Compensation of Player and AI CEO's of the largest companies in a game needs to be fixed they should not get paid $100+ Million a year in cash just because they run a big company.
A place to start with this specific topic would be to simply have minimum salary of ~$100,000/Year for all player and AI characters then have ~$100,000/Year deducted from each Player and AI Characters cash accounts then they could phase in more complicated formulas later if they wanted.

Re: Personal Expenses and Additional Jobs/Income Sources
It´s a nice idea to think about expanding the scope of the capitalist characters in the game. Imagine you could hire an engineer to build and manage your newly acquired ore-rich land, a lawyer to help your corporation pay less taxes, a RE developer who would show you the best land to build your next row of apartments...
What if they even came to you with their own plans before you´d think of hiring them!
