Outdated Scripts info on website

Hi David,

I have tried to make a new script from a scratch to use in my new games and found out two things

1. Folder with script samples is outdated (Cap Lab Post-Release Beta) or non-existent (Cap Lab)
2. Web Site information about scripts is outdated as well.

Two examples: number of competitors is said to be limited up to 30, number of AI persons is limited to 63.

There are probably more differencies with actual situation and it's too hard to find them on a forum.

Can you please check it?

Regards,
megapolis

The web site has been updated. And we will tidy up the script files in the next installer version.

I noticed that "Developed City=<Yes or No>" also doesn't work.
I've tried placing it in the Environment area, the cities area. It just doesn't work anywhere. It also kicks back an error.

It's listed under http://www.capitalismlab.com/script---environment.html
Maybe it was a beta feature that didn't make it to the live push?

Developed City=<Yes,No>
Whether there is a developed city at the beginning or not. The game is more challenging if you have to start from scratch without a developed city.

The other features listed under there work just that one doesn't.

Late replay so you might have found a solution already but do you have a line Survival Mode=Yes in the Header section? I think that one is required for the Developed City option to be recognized. Just like you have to enable Survival Mode in the DLC on/off screen to be able to see the Developed City option appear in the Custom Game Settings.

This little script worked for me (with the CE DLC enabled of course)

Code: Select all

[HEADER]
Title=Test Developed City
Description=Test Developed City=No.
Survival Mode=Yes

[ENVIRONMENT]
Developed City=No
