Hi!
I've set the R&D.
In the left-down corner my specialist is somehow gone (see on screenshot 1).
So i've decided to hire a new one.
But when i've done that i see that i couldn't get this specialist to join the others in research of notebook computers (see on screenshot 2).
Is that a bug?

It is not a bug actually.

We have recently added a new option to disable the loyalty feature. The details: viewtopic.php?f=42&t=4909

So players who prefer not to have the loyalty system causing the slowdown in the R&D project when one of the researchers have left the project, may switch off the loyalty feature and your researchers will never resign.

Ok, but if i wanted to stay with the loyalty system, and in case when some of my specialist will resign, why I can't just hire a new guy and force him to join to my ongoing research?

To my previous post.
Here is the problem. When the specialist has resign, my progress of research dropped to 4.18 years.
Then i've hired a new one. But the progress of the research is still the same - 4.18 years (Screenshot 3).

Then, i've demolished the R&D and build a new one.And again i've started to research a nonebook computers. But in this case the progress period has changed to 3.84 years.
So we see, that the game "wouldn't recognise" that i've adden a new stuff member and shows the research period as if there would be 5 specialist instead of 6.
But the situation turns otherwise once i've rebuild an R&D.

I don't understant why there should be any differance between adding a new specialist to onegoing research and building a new R&D with the same scheme.

It is one of the game rules that have always been part of Capitalism Lab. When you play a game without the Digital Age DLC and you remove a R&D unit, the R&D performance will suffer too.

Since this rule also applies to AI companies, I would say that it is fair, and some players may like it because it increases the impact of the loyalty system to the overall gameplay.

Having said that, I would suggest that you create a poll seeking the opinions of other users. If a sufficient number of users are in favor of this, there is a good chance that the dev team will modify it.

Here is an example of a post with a poll: viewtopic.php?f=42&t=4803
