Translate.txt collaboration

Post by paulwoman »

I'm relaunching the idea of a small collaboration for the creation of a "translate.txt" file and the software with a description here.
viewtopic.php?f=22&t=7544

Please note that I translate the other files ( t_games and others) with the OmegaT software, which allows me to update the files below fairly quickly. Also, this collaboration is to my knowledge feasible only with western languages. (French, German and others).

For information, I write a file "base_translate.txt" for to translate the game without mod and a file "trans_realworld.txt" for the mod.

So, created 1 sheet files to easily recreate the translated file with the software.

The sheet for the release, beta and a few MOD's

With this, all you have to do is copy the phrases "English" and fill in the phrases of your respective languages to be able to put them in the software.

If you have missing sentences or if I put sentences that should be in another sheet (for example, a sentence that I put for "real world" when it concerns the "release" version or vice versa), you can post it the modifications to do :)

If you want, we can speach each other in our's server https://discord.gg/HdFHkbh

For more explain, there is 2 tuto - sorry, in French

Hello, how are you ??

I'm new to the community, I'm interested in helping with the Brazilian Portuguese translation. I'll put the translations in your spreadsheet.

Thanks in advance.

Thank you and I'm glad it could help.

Are you also interested in "my" way with OmegaT? I mentioned it in this post.

I found it interesting, however, I don't have much knowledge in informatics.

If have no problem, I will post the Brazilian Portuguese translation only on the spreadsheet for now. Tonight I start translating.

After translating in the game, send me PrintScrys so I can see how the translation was. If necessary, we can make some adjustments.

I still don't have the money to buy the game.

When I finish the spreadsheet and you are able to implement the translation in the game, I would like to at least see the screen with the Portuguese translation to see if you need any adjustments.

Are you planning to redo the translation in collaboration with someone?

For the others files, I need you download and install OmegaT https://sourceforge.net/projects/omegat ... e/download as well as an account on github. You'll give me your username.

For now I'm alone in this.

I'll translate the spreadsheets first and then we'll see how to do that in OmegaT.

Can be?
