Thanks for your files. I'll write the link inside the post for the russian translation. viewtopic.php?p=37581#p37581

Please update your files there. It will be easier for the next update.

Also, please note that another player translate Russian too.

The small version of the DLC banner was a cut in size, not a reduction.
So I added step7.
There, I wrote how to create a banner similar to the English version. It is not exactly the same as the English version.

Where each DLC banner is used.

Techniques for translating menu images

PSD file of the menu image used in the Japanese translation.
m-menu and new-menu-2023 update-ver-2.zip
(6.2 MiB) Downloaded 144 times
・2023/4/11--- ver.2 : Fix mm-dlc and mm-mod sections

The following images need to be created for the translation of the main menu.

newmenu_compressed.jpg

To complete this translation, a small technique is required, and we will write how to do it.
(This method is a simple image editing & translation method; the image does not change to glow when the mouse cursor is hovered over the image. If you want to replace the image so that it changes as in the English version, please ask someone experienced in image editing software.)

Example: How to create translated mm-options
First of all, what we need this for is that without this image file, the English text will be displayed when you move the cursor over the image.

1: Uncheck the mm-menu-new layer to hide it.
2: Check the mm-options layer to make it visible. Make sure the layer is selected, not just checked. (In this case, press around the word mm-options to make the layer selected.)

3: Select the magic wand.
4: Click on this location. (In this example, all the places other than the smartwatch image will be selected.)

5: Click inverse. (In this example, the smartwatch image becomes selected.)

6: Check the OPTIONS layer to display the OPTIONS text you translated.
7: Uncheck the mm-options layer to hide it.
8: Check the m-menu-new layer to display it.

The save location is the image folder of your country folder under the language folder. In this example it is Japanese.

*To make the menu screen complete, you need to create translated m-menu-new.png and new-menu.png. This is not difficult if you have translated banners before. We have created a layer called [check layer], so you can adjust the position of the fonts in your language by comparing them with it.

If we can edit the originals mm-options (with the glowing effect) then it will glow hovering the cursor.

Anyway, thanks for your hard work Torajiro!

By the way...in the folder image inside game archives you can find banners for Seaport...bonds....etc etc

Can you do your PSD magic with that banners???? :P

That's right. However, the method is a bit complicated, and it is faster to rely on a colleague who speaks the same language and can edit images than to explain it to you.

The Japanese version of the menu screen is based on an image I have erased the text from. In other words, they are PSDs using unofficial images.
On the other hand, I made PSDs of scenarios, etc. using the "official images with the text removed" that David distributed to me.
I do not plan to erase the text on the banners for the Seaport, etc. The text is too large and the marks where I erased the text are not beautiful as a design.

I don't think you need to rush to translate those banners. I translated the scenario banners more than a year after I started translating the Japanese version.
During that time, even though the scenario banners were untranslated, the Japanese people thanked me for the progress in translation.
Just as you have thanked me.

Spanish translation is about to take a big step forward by you.
Perhaps David and his team are looking forward to it.
I wish you success!
