X3: Reunion
Summary
Does the game use StarForce as copy protection method?
Content
The answer is YES. The title X3: Reunion released in the USA does use StarForce as copy protection as the StarForce Keyless Protection Technology is a copy protection method used by many developers to protect their games from illegal duplication. And essentially, this technology is reliable. Sporadically, you may experience some little glitchs though. But all those issues should be related with your hardware configuration and/or software environment on the computer rather than the StarForce. Therefore please just take it easy. By the way, you may uninstall StarForce Virtual Protection Driver later like what you do towards other device drivers rather than reformat the whole computer. Simply you may launch the "Device Manager" window from Control Panel on your computer. And go to View>Show hidden drivers. Then you should notice some new items related to StarForce in the list window. Please delete them all respectively. (Note that, you may need to reinstall other games that also have StarForce later when you want to run them.) For more and other information regarding StarForce, please go to: http://www.star-force.com/
