What is Warlords Battlecry III?
Warlords Battlecry III, A sequel to
the award-winning Warlords Battlecry I & II, is
a fantasy Real Time Strategy game for the PC. The first
Battlecry game was released in 2000 and received high
remarks from gaming enthusiast media and critics, while
the sequel, in 2002, gathered Editor’s Choice
awards from all the major computer magazines & websites.
A strong community has generated due to Battlecry’s
reputation for depth of game-play and sheer amount
of replayability.
This latest installment in the series will continue
to add more races, spells and exciting new features
to make a great game even better!

Who
is Infinite Interactive?
Infinite Interactive was founded in January 2003 by
Steve Fawkner; creator and lead designer of the critically acclaimed
Warlords and Warlords Battlecry series. The founding members of Infinite
Interactive have a total of over 40 years of game development experience
between them, and are the same team that brought you the highly praised
Warlords III and Warlords Battlecry I & II. The company philosophy
is based on four important principles: quality game-play, exceptional
technology, enhanced support, and an enjoyable work environment.

Battlecry III some time in the second quarter of 2004.

What are the new races in Warlords Battlecry
III?
Warlords
Battlecry III adds 5 new races and removes one of the
old ones. Humans are gone, but they have really only
been split into two:
Each of these two races contains many brand new troops and buildings.

Three entirely new races have also been added:

a race of lizard folk
from the jungles of Keshan.

a desert-dwelling race
of scorpionmen, servants of Melkor, the Dark
Horseman of famine.

swamp creature, servants of Lord Antharg,
the Dark Horseman of Plague.

What are the Shop and Lair buildings all about?
These are two types of special buildings
that will be placed on the map.
Shops allow your heroes to buy items
or hire troops.
Lairs will produce groups of AI-controlled
units who will attack players on the map.
There will be many different types
of Shops and Lairs in the game.

Are there any new spells and Magic Items?
There are 30 new magic spells, spread
over 3 new spheres of magic. One of the new spheres
- the Arcane Sphere that is only available to powerful
heroes - allows you to modify other spells. With Arcane
magic you can make Pillars of Fire do more damage,
or Summon more powerful creatures!
We are also adding whole new classes
of magic items that will cast spells for you, as well
as potions and scrolls to help your hero. Of course
we will have some new rare item sets for the collectors
out there.

Will there be more Dragons in Warlords Battlecry III?
Yes - we have 6 different types of
Dragons now (actually 7 if you count the little Faerie
Dragon!)
Dragons will all have different colors
and attack with different breath weapons - but not
every race can build every dragon type!
