Capitalism Lab version 12.0 introduces a host of new features, and this newsletter spotlights a selection of them.
The Manufacturer Guide has been fully redesigned, featuring a cleaner and more modern interface to make production planning easier to understand at a glance.
A new visual indicator has also been added: output products now display an icon when they can be used as inputs for other consumer products. This helps players quickly identify downstream production opportunities without needing to cross-reference multiple screens.
For example, in the Real World Mod, Shampoo is an input for producing Hotel Bed Places. With this update, an icon now appears directly on the Shampoo image to highlight this linkage.
Capitalism Lab players and modders have long pushed the boundaries of what’s possible in the City Economic Simulation DLC. Today, we’re excited to unveil a major new feature that opens the door to even greater creativity and realism: the ability to import your own custom regional maps.
Whether you want to recreate real-world geography, design a fictional continent, or tailor a map to your gameplay style, this new system gives you full control over the terrain your cities will grow upon.

We have made pricing and adjustments even smoother and more precise.
You can now click directly on a product’s price field in the Firm Detail interface or Product Details report to type in an exact amount.
This upgrade also applies to many other numeric fields across the game.
Hotkey support: To edit a numeric field, press ‘/’. If the UI contains multiple numeric fields that support direct typing, press ‘.’ to edit the second one.
You can now hover your mouse over any point on a graph to instantly see its precise value. Supported across most graphs in the game, this feature eliminates guesswork and helps you make better-informed decisions.
The the icons in the Build Firm menu have been completely redesigned for a modern, updated look. The menu will display in text mode by default, and you can switch to icon mode by clicking the Switch Mode icon below the menu.
The COO policy “Prefer ordering from own warehouses” can now be customized with a slider.
The slider allows you to adjust the degree of preference of ordering from own warehouses. Previously, the UI for this setting was a checkbox and the degree of preference was fixed.
Service Industry DLC expands the game by allowing players to build and manage shopping malls, diverse service firms like fast food restaurants and coffee shops, and enhance their supply chains with import, export, and logistics companies. It introduces integrated retail spaces within apartment and commercial buildings, a challenging "Cash-strapped Startup" mode, and six new scenarios to test strategic skills.
Banking and Finance DLC simulates the financial world with a level of realism that is unprecedented in video games. You can now build a business empire on a truly epic scale by extending its reach to the lucrative banking and insurance industries. It also greatly expands the types of financial strategy that you can execute by allowing you to issue and trade bonds, invest in global stocks, do stock splits, and pay out special dividends.
