New retail store 3D models

Post by David »

In version 5.7.00, the sport store has got a brand new 3D building model. (To see the new sports store, click here: viewtopic.php?f=10&t=5513)

If you like it and would like to see more retail store buildings getting facelift, please use this poll to tell us which building you would like us to improve next?
(due to the limitation of the poll, only a maximum 10 options can be in a poll).

With the department store having received a leading number of votes, our artist has been assigned with the task of designing a new building for it.

Here is the first phase concept art for your preview.

The front department store is also nice. The new department store is also great. I would like you to co-exist, not replace.

Good idea. I will forward it to the dev team.

All of the above?

But please do something about the lag, there is NO way Cap Labs should lag so hard by scrolling around when today's game are fluid on my computer.

It may be due to the scrolling method rather than the graphic performance.

For me to understand it, could you let me know the following?
1) What is the zoom mode of your city? The furthest zoom mode or the middle one?
2) Do you scroll with keyboard or mouse?
3) If you switch it to the closest zoom mode, and scroll with mouse, is the scrolling speed acceptable?

After getting the details from you, I will discuss with the dev team and see if they can improve it.

It lags like hell as soon as the game has to display lots of stores, forcing me to filter what I want to see. I think it's a known/ignored issue. Whatever zoom level or method of scrolling.
